Fit-first guarantee & cancellations

Effective date: April 11, 2026 · Last updated: April 11, 2026

Fit-first principle

We only recommend paid design or next-step engagements when we believe we can add value for your project. If we are not the right fit after an initial discovery conversation, we will say so clearly—before you commit to paid design work.

Consultations

Free consultations are intended to understand your goals and determine fit. They do not obligate you to purchase services. We may decline new engagements when we cannot meet timeline, scope, or quality expectations.

Paid services & refunds

Fees for packages (such as design coordination and bid management) are described on our pricing section and in your Engagement Agreement. Unless your signed agreement states otherwise:

  • Refund eligibility, deposit rules, and milestones are defined in your Engagement Agreement.
  • If we determine before substantial custom work begins that we cannot serve your project, we will explain options—which may include a refund of amounts not yet earned, as set forth in writing.
  • After deliverables are provided or third-party costs are incurred, refunds may be limited or unavailable, consistent with your agreement.

Cancellations

You may request to cancel or pause an engagement as allowed by your Engagement Agreement. We will confirm cancellation in writing where required. Outstanding fees for work already performed or non-refundable pass-through costs may still apply.

No guarantee of savings or bids

Marketing may describe illustrative outcomes (e.g., average savings in comparable situations). We do not guarantee a specific dollar savings, number of bids, or builder behavior—markets and projects vary.
